Governor’s Message:

I retired in 2013 after more than 30 years in teaching, the last 16 and a half years as Headteacher of two Leicester City primary schools. This has given me an excellent understanding of all aspects of school leadership and management.

I have always had a passion for school improvement in order to provide children with the best possible education and, ultimately, enable them improve their life chances.

In my role as Governor at Forest Lodge Academy I aim to use this knowledge, understanding, skills and passion to support the work of the school.

I am married with two children and five grandchildren and my interests include music making and volunteering for a local charity for the disabled. I am also a Trustee at Leicester Outdoor Pursuits Centre.

Mrs Nicky Drucquer:

Name:   Mrs Nicky DrucquerGovernor Type:   Community GovernorDate Appointed:   18 May 2015
Term of Office: 4 YearsAppointment Ceases: 17 May 2019

Governor’s Message:

I was co-opted onto the Governing Body of Forest Lodge Academy in 2012 following an initiative by my employer, De Montfort University, to link its expertise to the wider community.  Since taking early retirement from my lecturing post I have had more time to allocate to school governance. I have been elected Vice Chair and I currently act as chair of the School Improvement Committee where I find my research skills come in very handy, for making sense of the data that is so central to the school’s drive to raise standards.

I specialised in health education all of my working life so I get a lot of satisfaction out of supporting the school with its efforts to promote the physical, mental and social wellbeing of the children. I also enjoy being a governor because it’s a good way of paying the system back for the good educational experience that my own three children had growing up in Leicester.

Governor’s Message:

I have worked at Forest Lodge for the last 13 years, joining in September 2003 as Year 6 class teacher with responsibility for English.  I became Deputy Headteacher in 2007 and then Headteacher in September 2013.  I have been part of the governing body for many years serving previously as a staff governor.

I have seen the school go through many transitions and improve rapidly over the last few years.  I absolutely love my job, the staff and children are brilliant and we all love working together to better ourselves for the future.  Our brand new school build is amazing and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us all here on our road to outstanding!

As well as a headteacher I am married with 2 children aged 5 and 9.  At weekends we try to have as much family fun time as possible going to the park, cinema or playing games.

Mrs Michelle Carlisle:

Name:   Mrs Michelle CarlisleGovernor Type:   Parent GovernorDate Appointed:   30 Sep 2013
Term of Office: 4 YearsAppointment Ceases: 29 Sep 2017

Governor’s Message:

I am a mother of 5 children who have all attended the school with still 2 children currently at the school.  I also attended Forest Lodge as a child myself. Therefore, Forest Lodge has been a big part of my life so when the opportunity of becoming a parent governor came up, I decided to put my name forward as I wanted to give something back to the school. As I live in the area and I am a familiar face, I feel like I could be a good representative for parents on the governing body.
